My Musing:

Right now I am reading The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. At the moment, I've read about 20%. So far, I am loving it. The story is wonderful. Alexandra Bracken does an amazing job with world building and character development. I haven't been drawn into a so fast in a long time. Being that I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately, this novel is a refreshing change. I chose this novel because of all of the good things I've heard about it. I received it as a Christmas present and decided it was time to finally read it.

My Musing:

I recently bought Eragon and Eldest by Christopher Paolini for myself. I have heard many good things about these books over the years, but never got around to reading them. Last week I was at a local Goodwill store and I was browsing through the book section. There were a lot of YA novels there, but unfortunately I already had most of them. Then I happened to see a box set that had Eragon and Eldest in it. It was priced at $2.50. I thought "Well, it's cheap, so I'll get it.". I have not yet read them, seeing as how I have a lot of books in my to-read stack already, but I look forward to reading them.

My Musing:

One of my reading habits is that I can not close a book in the middle of a chapter. If I have something I need to do while I am reading, I try my best to get to the end of the chapter before I close the book. Something about stopping in the middle of a chapter just drives me crazy.  If I absolutely have to put a book down in the middle of a chapter, I will, but I don't like to.
